Assassin’s Creed III
psdo:
What is the clinical definition of being dead again?
These are not my images, my friend found them on a website so I am simply sharing them. Please note: as I find more images, I’ll upload them. Also I really have no idea where the images themselves come from, some person is uploading them on another forum.
Edit 2: Game Informer’s April issue will feature a 13-page cover story for AC3. I would imagine that these images are from that issue. In either case, be sure to pick it up.
There we go, multi-racial with an English and Native name (which I guess would have to be the case if he’s directly related to Altair/Ezio). Hopefully they’ll specify the tribe instead of going full on ambiguity. Also, he doesn’t look white!! (In so much media when depicting multiracial characters, they seem to always veer towards white i.e. Marvel/DC comics). Tentatively growing more excited especially since we’ll be exploring BOSTON <3 and damn fucking A the art is just so gorgeous.
EDIT: Also he’s raised by his mom’s tribe!! So I hope we get delicious story time with that and his mother and if that’s his father in the art, he looks like a grade A asshole. Delicious.
CAAAHHHHNNNN’T
The fact that they made his father English kinda cheeses me off, but hey. You take what you can get.
AHHHHHHHH
Assassin’s Creed 3 on Gameinformer
The April cover of Gameinformer pretty much confirms the legitimacy of the image released this morning and also confirms the setting of the game.

So it’s hard to tell from shot to shot, but I see a black man when I look at this concept art and I reeeeeally hope that’s true! A man of color, anyway- the tomahawk could be meant to imply that he’s NA as well? Anyway.
One of my reservations about them setting the next game during the American Revolution would be if they just made it about white dudes fighting white dudes, but I have some faith in the AC franchise to be pretty culturally sensitive. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely better than most of the games in our industry. Seeing how I spent last night listening to a Romani woman explain to Ezio that gypsy is a racial slur… I have high hopes.
